Celestial Road
In May 2023 I had some time booked off to get out and shoot the Milky Way with my new star tracker. Using a star tracker enables you to take longer exposures without star trails, as it moves with the earth’s rotation. I was super excited to get out, and this was the result of my second night shooting with it.
On a lonely, narrow, dark country road in Eryri, I found a suitable spot to set up with clear skies. I spent that long trying to polar align, I didn’t spare much thought on composition. Before I left I captured a shot of the road winding away from me, and created this composite of a 90 second sky exposure with the foreground.
