Crib Goch
"The only time you should look back is to see how far you have come.”
I took this shot after my second ascent of Crib Goch, and my first time solo. Typically when I got there, the whole of the ridge was in cloud and visibility was terrible. The air was wet and the rock greasy underfoot, and I took great care when crossing the knife edge ridge. I did not look any other direction aside from forward!
Once over the ridge and the pinnacles, the weather started to clear and visibility improved. It was a great achievement for someone with a fear of heights, and the poor visibility really pushed me out of my comfort zone.
