Llyn Mymbyr
Llyn Mymbyr is actually two lakes close to Capel Curing in Snowdonia. I have shot from the shore of this lake many times in different seasons, but this one is by far my favourite.
It was a cold winters morning, and I had taken a friend with me to do some astrophotography and star gazing. On the way home we decided to call here for a sunrise. There is a lay-by on the side of the road, and a short stroll takes you down the lakes shore.
We set up our camping chairs, made a coffee and waited for the sun. From this view point you can see the snowdon massif, and in this shot there is a Venus belt. I was hoping for a clear sky, but I actually really like how the cloud looked in the sky.
It was a shot I had hoped to catch for a long time- with the mountains in their winter coat of snow.
