Tranquil Nights
A star studded night in September on Aberdaron beach. I couldn’t resist the pull of the dark skies on the Llyn Peninsula for a late season Milky Way shoot. After an eventful evening of sunset paddle boarding and beach bbq, a friend and I settled down to wait for the stars to emerge as the light faded and darkness fell. Sat in the darkness, listening to the waves crash against the shore and breathing in the crisp, sea air we contemplated the mysteries of the cosmos as a feeling of calm enveloped us.
It still is such a marvel, that in the darkness such light, and boundless beauty and tranquility can be found. There is limitless wonder awaiting for those who venture out to explore the night sky. This image is a three minute tracked shot blended with a single foreground frame.
